Note: Before you can play on FIBS you must first create a user name for yourself.

Use the File > Connect command to log on to the server. When the connection is established, you should see several lines of messages in the Terminal window, including the message of the day.

IMPORTANT: If the Terminal window remains blank, you are not connecting to the server. Refer to the troubleshooting section for more information about connection problems.

If the Terminal window does contain messages, but there are no messages after the login: prompt (which may appear twice), then you may have entered your user name and/or password incorrectly.

Logging out

When you want to leave the FIBS server you can either just quit MacFIBS, or use the File > Disconnect command to log out of FIBS. If you choose Disconnect, you can then log back in to FIBS using the File > Connect command.

You can also disconnect from the server by typing bye in the Terminal window, this has the same effect as using the Disconnect command.
