MacFIBS and Mac OS X

The current version of MacFIBS can be run in the Mac OS X Classic environment, as well as older systems running Mac OS 8.x or 9.x. This version will remain stable and supported for the foreseeable future.

At this point, I don't know when or if I will produce a Mac OS X native (Carbonized) version of MacFIBS. Sorry, I know this disappoints some of you.

But I also have good news...

Working closely with CyberArts, I have created an awesome new Mac OS X backgammon client for GamesGrid! Built in Cocoa for the best OS X user experience, GamesGrid for Macintosh blows away everything before it--including MacFIBS. For Mac users, GamesGrid is the future of backgammon on the Internet.

The fine print: GamesGrid for Macintosh will only be available for Mac OS X; there are no plans to create a GamesGrid client for Mac OS 9. If you haven't yet, you should begin to think about upgrading your hardware and software for Mac OS X and GamesGrid. It's time. (Perhaps time for one of those cool new flatscreen iMacs!)
