This is the FIBS welcome-to-San Francisco party for people who can't
actually be here. We'll be doing live coverage of the party, and
updating the web page every couple of hours.
4:45 update!
It's a beautiful sunny day in San Francisco! Andreas and Patti spent
the morning doing the tourist thang in the city, including the
world-famous Golden Gate Bridge.
Here are the party earlybirds. From left to right, they are gammonking,
bazooka, traveller, marvin, and CALee.
6:00 update!
Kit Woolsey (kitwoolsey) and Cliff Levin (drl) discuss something that
must be earthshatteringly important.
Here's the crowd. There are about 25-30 people total right now, and
more are showing up every minute.
They're doing it...
7:00 update!
This is part of the 7:00 crowd. We're up to about 35 people now.
Daniel Murphy (Raccoon) and Patti your trusty photojournalist, work
on an update.
Andreas Schneider (marvin), creator of FIBS. He's why we're all here.
Joan Clark (traveller), our party hostess, with two of her many pans
of lasagna.
More chouettes! There are about four games in progress right now.
Late-night update!
Ulf Wostner (dicey): I saw the party on the web, and decided to come
over!
It's time for dessert. duffy brought a lovely cake.
More dessert-- marvin consumes an entire plate of traveller's
brownies.
Self-referential web-page. people at the party are having a great
time checking the hit counter.
Daniel keeps jumping in front of my camera, this time with David
Escofferey (davide).
Elliott Winslow (ekw) decides to have a little chat with marvin about
crashes.
The strip chouette is starting... gotta run!
