Setting player colors and other options

You can set options for players whom you play often, or whom you wish to avoid.

You can use color coding to indicate different groups of users. For example, you might color code players you enjoy playing green, but players you don't like to play as purple.

Setting player colors

Select a player in the Player window to open a Player Info window, then click the color square in the Inspector window. Pick a new color from the color picker window. The color you set for a player will be kept even when neither you nor the player are logged in.

Note that the color coding you choose is only seen by you. No one else will see or know what color you have chosen, colors are stored locally on your Mac, not on the FIBS server.

Setting the Buddy flag

Use the Buddy checkbox in the Inspector window to mark players who are your friends. When you do this, two things happen:

    1. The player's name appears in Bold face in the Player window, making it easier to pick out.
    2. If the player logs in while you are connected, you will hear a special sound that indicates one of your buddies has logged in.
